Musical groups at St. Luke's~San Lucas

The Senior Choir sings most Sundays September through mid-June at the 10:30 service. We have fun singing a wide variety of music and functioning as worship leaders, not just performers. Anyone who loves to sing is invited to rehearse with us Wednesdays 7:20-9:00 pm and Sundays at 9:45 am. You need not be musically trained to join the choir: several or our members started unable to read music. If you can commit to the practice, we can teach you!

The Handbell Choir rehearses Wednesdays 6:30-7:20 pm and we play during worship an average of twice a month. Any ringer, experienced or beginner, is welcome, since we are all committed to improving our musical and technical skills. Click this link to find out more about our set of Dutch handbells.

The Taizé Ensemble leads during the Taizé style worship. We blend voices and gentle instruments to complement this contemplative service. Rehearsal is at 5 pm the third Saturday of the month, the service is at 6.

music.

Worship during the 10:30 service is also frequently enriched by musical solos and smaller groups of many kinds.

As of this Fall, we are meeting regularly on Wednesday nights:  Handbells from 6:30 to 7:20 and Choir from 7:30 to 9 PM.  The choir generally sings for all the 10:30 AM Sunday services from September to June and for other special services.  We meet on Sundays at 9:45 to warm up.  Thanks!
